Limited Manufacturer's Warranty

At Eternate, it is our promise to you to accompany your memories for a lifetime and beyond with our handcrafted, bespoke, ethical pieces of fine jewelry. That is why we stand behind the quality of our products and stand with you in case of a mishap.

What does the warranty cover?

Every piece of Eternate fine jewelry comes with a free limited manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If our jewelers confirm a manufacturing defect, we will repair it free of charge.

Who is covered?

The warranty covers the individual who purchased the piece from Eternate, for as long as they own it.

How to make a claim

  1. Send us photos. Email service@eternate.com with your order number, a short description of the issue, and clear photos of the damage.
  2. We review your photos. If the damage appears to be a manufacturing defect, we will send you a prepaid shipping label. If it appears to be wear or other damage not covered by the warranty, we will send you an estimated quote for the repair. You can then decide whether to send the piece in at your own shipping cost.
  3. Our jewelers inspect the piece. Photos help us assess the issue, but our final determination is made once our jewelers have inspected the piece in person.
  4. We repair or quote.
    • If the damage is a manufacturing defect, we repair it free of charge and cover shipping both ways.
    • If the damage is not covered, we send you a quote before doing any work. If you approve it, we complete the repair and you pay the repair cost and return shipping. If you decline, we return the piece to you and you pay return shipping. If we sent you a prepaid label based on your photos, you will not be charged for that shipment.

Conditions and exclusions

Your warranty will be void if maintenance, repair, sizing, or any other service is performed on your piece by anyone other than Eternate.

The warranty does not cover everyday wear and tear, product loss, stone loss, or theft. It also does not cover damage or loss resulting from a failure to keep up with the necessary maintenance of the piece. The following are examples of issues that are not considered manufacturing defects:

  • Discoloration due to exposure to chemicals such as bleach, body lotions or swimming pools.
  • Normal wear of prongs and precious metals in daily use over time. Cleaning and polishing may be needed every six months to a year.
  • Bent, worn or distorted prongs as a result of physical damage or daily wear.
  • Loss of gemstones due to physical damage or daily wear over time.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Care and repair services

For wear and damage not covered by the warranty, we offer care services including prong tightening, re-polishing, rhodium plating and cleaning. These services are available for a fee, which we will quote before any work begins. To request a service, email service@eternate.com. We will be happy to stand with you even years after your purchase.

What is jewelry insurance?

Insurance is a service that offers coverage for the total value of your insured product, protecting you against loss, theft, damage, and mysterious disappearance.

Do I need to insure my jewelry, wedding ring or engagement ring?

Insuring your Eternate jewelry can give you the freedom to wear your jewelry without worry, knowing it is protected by a legal arrangement. Whether to insure it is entirely up to you.

Insurance should be arranged through a professional insurance provider. Eternate does not provide insurance or work with an insurance provider, but we can provide documentation such as your invoice.
